    OK cheers, I thought that limitation only applied to live systems (been reading about live USB updater – I’ll get the hang of this!). I have the update:

    linux-image-6.6.137-antix.1-amd64-smp - Linux kernel, version 6.6.137-antix.1-amd64-smp

    so leave it with me, waiting for a backup to complete. Incidentally I used this instead of step 7:

    dpkg -l|grep -e '-image-' -e '-headers-'

    because I am used to dpkg from ancient times 😉

    Incidentally, is there a technical reason for not installing automatically, or is it a “user responsibility” thing?
