B/c installing your (packages) will remove current mesa (and half my system), which I don’t want to do, as most of it works fine & I don’t want to end up w/a mess if going full-amber doesn’t work out! I didn’t install the ones (debs), but rather I just extracted & copied the libraries (from the MX url I referenced in the OP) and replaced the symlinks to point to them (while saving the original symlinks under a different name), in case I wish to completely undo this experiment!
I now see the confusion – I had ended up downloading both mx & arch’s & now realized that I have mx’s libglapi referenced, but in reality had forgotten that I had actually used Arch’s dri drivers, as they were newer (but now I’ve ended up strictly using w/MX’s debs as Arch’s EGL & GLX stuff didn’t work right due to slight differences in Arch’s file-layout).
I would prefer keeping my system “untainted” by trying to extract the debs from antiX’s official packages (which weren’t in the repo when I first tried this, but see UPDATE below) and update the tip to reflect that (when/if I’m successful), except I sadly still have a bad taste in my mouth from trying to switch to antiX’s xlibre packages (which made my system unbootable into slimski/X, as I explained in a previous & unanswered post “Big pbm. w/latest *0antix1 xlibre packages!” (before I even started messing with this). At least this (mesa-amber experiment) is easily reversable if I manage to blow it up again or run into any issues with this! 😉 Please note before replying that no, I don’t normally go grab crap from other repos & prefer to keep an all-antiX system. Other than this (and the xlibre packages), the rest of my new Trixie system is full-antiX-26 (repos)!
*** UPDATE: I’ve updated my original “TIP” post to correct the confusion and include some additional steps I’ve taken to improve it. I also tried to download without installing your new amber packages (apt install –download-only …) but it threatened to REMOVE the other mesa packages AND half my system, even though I just wanted to download the debs?! Do you know a better way to just fetch your debs (so I can still easily reverse this if needed)?
