I don’t believe that AI is EVER going to reduce or eliminate my ability to think for myself; if for no other reason, I’ll ALWAYS be looking for ways to reduce or eliminate it from things except for possibly automatically getting rid of my Trash or things I’ve already said I don’t want to read or retain. But if it takes over and actually gets RID of things that I want, I’ll do everything in my power to forever fight and thwart it and I will be very difficult on the technology, possibly choosing something else even if 99% of the time it’s “helpful”. The reason is that I always want to have a choice; that’s what brought me to “freely available software” in the first place.
