Am I supposed to manually create wlan entries in /etc/network/interfaces? connman either tells me there are none or, after trying ceni, says there are other ones it can’t use. If connman doesn’t do that for me when I try to connect to a network through its app, I don’t want connamn at all, i’d rather use cli (but i don’t know how to do that without copy/pasting what search engines tell me).
Also, router is Tmobile’s G4AR, so unfortunately I have no easy access to settings. But I did set up a 2nd ssid using Hint, maybe that is causing issues with channel switching? But still, I cant connect to xfinity mobile public wifi or my phone’s hotspot with or without wpa2, 2.4ghz or 5ghz. But, 3 or 4yrs ago using xbuntu, this computer counnected to wifi no problem. I am 90% sure this is a software issue. I just don’t understand why connman fails to connect or how to stop connman from blocking other “network managers” and “wpa_supplicants.” The couple times I was able to connect to this wifi this month, I was able to temporarily stop connamn, set up a supplicant on RoxTerm, and it worked until reboot. Then connman was back, and some strange things happen if youre able to stop connman and start supplicant faster than runit restarts connman.
