@CharlesV Just an idea: Wouldn’t it be possible to hand out some sort of individual cryptographic certificate, allowing to bypass the geofencing from otherwise blocked countries/IP-ranges for forum participants known not to abuse their access (which could easily revoked also again individually if abused or lost) ? Trapped legitime users could contact a mod to get their personal certificate then, so they are no longer excluded while all other requests from these obviously toxic countries/ip-ranges are still blocked. This is merely a theoretical consideration, I have no insight whether that could be implemented and work, or whether something like that would break the protection workflow completely. Sure, that won’t help users with browsers like links2 or similar, but it could still work not only for legitimate users from specific countries and IP-ranges, but also for privacy aware browsers which claudflare won’t let pass otherwise.
