Forum search (internal) :
– Search box in right column of forum home, reading “Search Forums (Search here)”.
– The alternative forum search link (“Search B”)

“How do I view notifications from people who have used the @name tag?” (meaning: if somebody wrote @alkaid, how do I know that? )
No idea, but you could try entering your nick in the forum search, which will bring up all postings in which you have been mentioned.
