    I do not think it is the kernel. It works in MX ahs and my antiX 26 ahs with identicaal 6.19.14-2 kernel as in the MX ahs. It also worked fine previously with 6.18 kernel, before update to 6.19.
    If you download MX XFCE ahs you will see it works fine. So kernel is not the culprit. Something else in MXD is.

    This looks like bad news for MXD. No point for me to download MXD with 6.16 kernel as I would be groping in the dark having this issue that is clearly something in MXD.
