Can you provide a clear, detailed outline how your implementation of turnstile is different from one @anticapitalista/@ProwlerGr implemented in antiX 26?
It seems a key difference in result of this difference is that in your implementation turnstile is not compatible with consolekit, while in @anticapitalista’s implementation it is, just to have an example.
– Consolekit is key to various functionality in flexibility in antiX implementation, so departing from this asset does reduce such flexibility.
– In your implementation an attempt to install pipewire resulted in libelogind0 brought in by wireplumber. Why exactly this happened? The repo you are using is antiX repo, so why you have not used antiX specific elements, namely suffixed with ‘nosystemd’? They do still exist in that repo, do not they?
To understand this, you need to familiarize yourself with Chimera Linux. Turnstile is their development, where it works in conjunction with the system daemon dinit-dbus. In antiX, the normal operation of graphics stack and dinit work in cgroups is not implemented. See how I run Pipewire through custom services and how it runs on default antiX settings. I have not fully implemented the functionality of daemon dinit-dbus. I’m not a programmer. It’s too complicated for me. I’ve tried to get as much dinit functionality as possible, like in Chimera Linux.
Look carefully at the file paths and the file I opened. That’s what Turnstile is for! :
