    @m4r35n357, thanks for your patience. After playing around with this a bit more and trying the -query command, I see what you’re saying.

    So far I noticed, I do not really need to run xrdb -load ~/.Xresources, xrdb ~/.Xresources is sufficient. Actually it also works by just running xrdb .Xresources, since I am already in the directory .Xresources is located, I guess.

    I still have to close the terminal and reopen it again before the changes take effect. But after revisting the yt video, I noticed the guy had to do the same.
