    The original vi is a very small, lean editor, and for leafpad and l3afpad to have smaller image size, that makes them quite lean indeed!

    ls -l nano
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 287480 Jan 19  2023 nano

    Geany comes in even smaller, but that is due to some library code it uses; all four of these editors, no matter how you look at them, are VERY lean and efficient!
