    Sorry for being away, was dealing with family stuff. First off, I haven’t tried running steam as root, but attempting to just use sudo steam causes the error “Cannot run as root.” so I don’t know if that’s doable as a fix. I haven’t asked for help on steam community yet, I will now though to see if anyone has had similar issues to me.
