Another “thing” I regularly do on the computer, and @Xunzi_23 is well aware of this, @andfree, @Xunzi_23 and I all keep track of Ungoogled Chromium and use it fairly often; that helps too, because it utilizes the core browser technology that many browsers use, but it specifically removes the many “call backs” to Google. Maybe some of you would be surprised at how much that speeds things up: it’s without a doubt the fastest and leanest of the major full featured Web browsers.
Some people like “Brave”. I tried it out a few years ago. At least back then, it used advertisers too, but it went a different direction – it chose ONLY the advertisers that lined it’s pockets. I don’t know what’s different about that compared to anything else, so I stopped using it. On my phone I have DuckDuckGo and that helps. It’s when I’m using Yahoo Mail or Gmail on my phone that they both tend to summarize: “this Email is about ____”. I’ll say this: they are getting better about their summaries, and yet if I wanted another entity to read and summarize all of my Email I’d get someone or something to do it for me. They’re doing it, but I didn’t ASK for it; that’s something I’d turn off; as it is, I read as most my Email from my computer INSTEAD of my phone so that I don’t have to deal with the “intrusion”!
