I was under impression (incorrectly) it was done already, but this time it is good.
It’s better, it’s the last link in replacing Logind and Consolekit! This is all at a minimal and primitive level so far. But the template is already there, it can be modernised and new methods can be added.
Synaptic appears to start with no authentication or authorization. Should this not require sudo, like in antuX?
Synaptic is installed from the Debian repository and runs via pkexec, if you need to use sudo, you can uninstall it and install it from the antiX repository. You can also remove permissions from /etc/sudoers.d/ and change policies in Polkit for the sudo group.
