    I have just tried runit again with the slim runit service, I get a blank screen on tty1 and tty7. I can log in on tty2 and see that there is a slim executable running, but nothing in /var/log/runit for slim.

    Next I’ll try running the service from a terminal (I have been using sysVinit on most of my systems so I am still trying to learn about runit!).

    [EDIT] no luck with runit. I just don’t know enough about it to fix a broken script! I’ll settle for sysVinit once more . . .
