    Could changing the kernel eliminate ‘stutter’ (i.e. a loss of synchrony between audio & video) when streaming YouTube videos?

    Don’t know.

    There are some lighweight (?) alternative front-ends to YouTube such as Invidious (where you can find links to some running “mirrors” web-pages from which you can directly stream) and FreeTube that might improve performance in the browser you mention in the 1st post of this topic.
    Someone (was it Xunzi_23?) posted a looong way back some lightweight alternatives to YouTube on the forum, hence why I was able to find these two using a general web-search.
