The reason is that ASUS only added battery threshold support to asus_wmi for their newer product lines, roughly from around 2019 onward. The 1011PX and 1015PE are 2011 era Atom netbooks, and that hardware predates ASUS implementing this feature in their EC firmware entirely. The driver loads fine because it handles many WMI functions beyond just battery care, but the threshold part simply was never implemented for this generation.
