While I appreciate the value of Xunzi’s contributions to the forum, I disagree with his post.
The forum has a tradition of tolerance of different views. (Yay!)
What I see that has been banned/removed as outside the bounds have been posts which:
(1) are advertisements
(2) are personally offensive.
The forum has a subforum on “Other Distros”. There have been many posts by different members, which have the benefit of reporting on these distros. Some other distros have packages missing from our “mother distro” (Debian) which has proven useful to antiX users. Conversations about potential advantages of other distros can provide ideas for improvement in antiX, or highlight the advantages of antiX over other distros.
I am very pleased that the forum has been so open and yet kept so free of annoying garbage.
Not easy, I have done none of the work, only benefitted.
