My point was that I don’t want to modify it to get a reasonable icon that makes it easy for me to know what to expect the machine to do if I click it. I want to KNOW what to expect in the first place, without waiting for a hover based hint to pop up. I didn’t like the old (17.x) icon for Apply changes, and DO like the new icon. To be honest WHICH big green checkmark icon from the myriad on that page would be much less important to me.
BTW, I tried again on one of the machines where WiFi didn’t work, and I I JUST go into conman, select wireless, turn it on, and connect, it does work.
What didn’t work anymore was turning off WiCd on the flashdrive boot, and going into Ceni to setup roaming WiFi and then using WPA_Supplicant to connect. That no longer works at all.
I haven’t looked at the memory usage for conman yet. Hopefully its reasonable.
