    Thanks for the reminder! I knew that Canada had a holiday within a few days of our “Independence Day” because at one time I lived in Michigan very close to Ontario. Time tends to dull specific memories a bit at my age, so though I remembered some of the details, I wasn’t sure of the specifics (plus some holidays, particularly in the USA) get “modified” in dates, and sometimes in names in order to put the events near a long weekend, and sometimes to alter or obscure their meaning.

    In any event, I wish everyone peace, enjoyable memories, and time with those who matter to each of you.
