    I experienced the same with an old laptop. I opted to go back to a previous kernel (4.19). It contains all recent security patches, so you will lose nothing. If someone can help you out with this, then you won’t need to go back to an “old” kernel.

    When you had 17.4, were you also using the 5.xx kernel?
