Thank you @Koo those are great tips. I just discovered how much better rofi works in Debian 10 (antiX19b1) than it does on MX. There’s no comparison. Like you I’m not worried about mem & cpu. A week a go I took all the family wealth ($24USD) and bought 8GB of mem for our 12+ year old laptop, that is the target platform for my efforts.
btw. I think I will break down and watch the videos you mentioned; although it will take me a while to get through them.
I do believe I’ll keep my version of antiX19 as a rolling release. Hopefully I won’t break it. 😉 If I don’t stay in ‘rolling mode’, I think Debian’s release cycle is too slow to keep pace with bspwm, rofi and a few other tools I’m beginning to understand and enjoy.
