    For my main problem, the same as beta1 – no sound.
    This is working out of the box on MX -18 and antix 16,17.
    Still in the live session on USB,

    The sound test in the control center hardware section just flashes by in less than a second.
    Then if I edit /etc/asound.conf, un-commenting and changing the 0 to 1:

    # ***** Defaults *******************************************************

    # Audio card/chip and device to use and control
    # In most cases these settings should remain commented (#)
    # When commented, card and device 0 are usually automatically selected
    # When uncommented, the item corresponding to the number is selected
    defaults.pcm.card 1
    defaults.pcm.device 1
    defaults.ctl.card 1

    Then the sound test shows the tones and channels on the terminal, but there is no sound from the speaker.
    I tried the also mixer next,
    It shows correctly
    Card HD-Audio Generic
    Chip Realtek Generic

    All the slider are up with numbers 97, 94, 88, 100 ….
