I cannot reproduce this in antiX 19.2.1 base 32 bits, 64 bits, or full. . As far as I know, I am not using dbus for any part of the script, but something else is (probably), and that is giving your system trouble.
If you open a terminal and do “sudo apt update” and just after that try the script (I can only imagine it is gksu the reason, I don’t know).
