The Distrowatch entry is just a statement from the developers of the distro. The “authority” is the distro itself. And we all know that it’s a just a review site not an authority. Opinion pieces are valuable in that they highlight an opinion. We all make what we want from that.
As far as antiX’s future goes, I would think it will continue to be what the developers want it to be. That’t the beauty of Linux. It doesn’t HAVE to be anything. And it CAN be anything you want. antiX is a fantastic base for a lot of things. As more people find it they will make it work the way they need it to work. A lot of what is “new” and a “change” is under the hood. The LiveUSB features are powerful and unmatched.
