It’s been a few years now since I’ve been able to run both wired and wireless, but as I recall the last time I had both, a properly configured system will choose wired if available, then wireless. I’m not sure if that is because at the time my fastest option was the wired option, or if that is the natural order of precedence, but I’ll state, based on the most recent time I had BOTH is that if a wired service is available and you have that interface enabled, it will be selected.
Some modern interfaces now allow you to turn on or off one of 2-3 different options; I think that’s what’s available now with Connman, but since we’ve had Connman available I’ve only had a wifi connection; Connman can configure Ethernet, wifi, or Bluetooth if I remember correctly.
Anyone with superior knowledge is welcome to weigh in on this; please cite any specific information and/or literature if possible to provide us with the proper means of “improving our education”. Thanks!
