    Red faces here. Am multitasking at work and I appear to removed even my eth0 capability as I had no interfaces.
    I have rebuilt the /etc/network/interfaces file but have no idea what permissions should be applied.
    please?
    Meanwhile I now have Ceni up and running plugged into the lan, have been given an IP in the expected subnet and can ping the router connection and use this subnet from my desktop but have no internet from the laptop.
    What am I missing.
