    Here is what I got–does this mean that slimjet is set as default? Or, should I proceed with the second command?

    user@antix1:~
    $ xdg-settings get default-web-browser
    /usr/bin/xdg-mime: 913: local: Moon-ZX359Y.desktop: bad variable name
    slimjet.desktop
    user@antix1:~
    $
