    @skidoo, thanks for those tips. That makes sense to me – that a Debian update has broken the default launch string as originally hard coded into antiX-17 or that a new process, like pkexec, is now used to launch some of these programs.

    I will read up on this and see if I can fix the launch strings for my antiX-17 machines.

    I tested the hard drive and partitions with GSmartControl and Gparted. Everything checked out. So it makes more sense now that it’s a script problem rather than a drive failure.
