This IS a good idea. I believe you misread me. This is the correct way, all files from one package are meant to be in one translation file, so please don’t split them up! And all you did was fine, no need to modify anything! And for the notes/instructions: no hurry! Remember, we do all this volunteer, and we are one team. You are not expected to do this all on your own.
What I had in mind concerning merged files from different programs was some translation resource I came across earlier on antiX development, not in antix contribs.
