See if this is the issue – I ran into this some time ago with ceni:
If “allow hot-plug” (removable devices)” is checked, I had to re-run ceni each reboot.
So now I set it to “auto (built-in devices)” – whether it’s a removable usb dongle or internal, built-in.
Now, set up as “auto” – it reconnects at each reboot automatically.
