    Dear anticapitalista,

    First of all, thank you for all you have done with antiX: it’s a very good job! Many thanks.

    With this information, I have tried to edit the existing 10-evdev.conf file (/usr/share…) with the help if the SLiM documentation: that’s didn’t work.

    Option "XkbLayout" "fr" or

    Option "XkbLayout" "fr"
Option "XkbVariant" "latin9"

    I have also tried to copy this file to /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/, with the same result.
    As you wrote, I also fear that it can’t work (I’m a fan of special characters in passwords, it’s in all probability safer).

    Finally, I also wonder about the fact that the second user of my system has a “mid-french mid-english” interface…
