    I admire your creativeness, but I am looking for basic info like antiX’s conky provides. I’m fine if it’s homegrown and/or in text, but I need to see the device, IP address, upload and download speeds, and errors. Total bytes uploaded/downloaded would also be nice to have.

    iftop (loaded on this machine already) seems to have the info but needs elevation to display the performance info.

    cbm (simple – see pic) and bmon (super fancy and requires fuse stuff) provide the kind of info I’m looking for. cbm was a 20k package download from the repo.
