    A good, arguably a best practice, is to explicitly include the PATH directory (directories) for each program invoked by a script.

    The alternative is to provide the full path of all executable images.

    When one of these methods is used there is no chance of calling the wrong program unless the program locations change. Periodic examination of code path will mitigate changing code location.
