Hi @Bruce7777, welcome to antiX.
Interestingly I found Debian and LMDE after antiX. I came from Slackware and I felt the same as you in the beginning. All things are foreign and difficult to understand until it becomes familiar to us. I read and re-read the instruction for building packages in Slackware but I never quite understood it. I ended up switching to antiX and using the apt packaging system.
I hope you can work through the difficulties and eventually find your way in antiX. Brian, skidoo, Xecure and many others have been extremely helpful to me and other newbies. I’m sure you will find the help you need. And maybe there is a better way to help people find the right iso, etc. Maybe you can help us make that better for others who want to give antiX a try.
