Thank you ctcx. I’ve been involved in the spam detection project, and I was unaware that we were unintentionally removing or altering users until it was explicitly reported. We’ve been taking action every day to not automatically remove everything, but first examine the posts and the users. Most of the use cases work properly, but we found a few exceptions. By carefully watching these, whitelisting the “overzealous” cases, we should be able to reduce, and hopefully eliminate all incorrect cases. Still, we appreciate them being reported, and those who are monitoring this are doing our best to also manually examine everything to minimize more cases like this; we caught two additional cases with a couple of skidoo’s posts and were able to resolve them before losing either the user name, post, or any content; hopefully as we continue this practice, the “learning” and “accuracy” of the tool, coupled with blacklist and whitelist entries to correct the few cases that the default algorithms get wrong, will make this an even better tool.
Sorry that your ID and posts were corrupted; I’m looking to see if there is a way to put your name BACK on the posts you indicate; have not figured that out yet, but I haven’t given up either. Please continue to identify any errors; hopefully we can get everything perfect – and SOON!
