Can you live without them?
Purging the libwebkit2gtk-4.0-37 results in removal of the following 3: gir1.2-webkit2-4.0* gnome-maps* libwebkit2gtk-4.0-37*
So it appears I would lose gnome-maps. Although it is a useful app, I could live without it.
My main concern is libelogind0, so if gnome-maps is the only app that requires webkit then I would rather sacrifice gnome-maps than polute antiX system with *elogind* stuff.
I do not expect you would spend time and effort to repackage libwebkitgtk-4.0-37 just for gnome-maps as long as other apps people are using are not impacted and libelogind0 is not installed in result of this webkit upgrade. I see this as more important objective to continue your strategy of *elogind* free antiX, if it is still in plans…
On my end I will adapt my system for the sake of greater good.
