I support the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination.
When a bus is about to hit you and your family, will you move aside to avoid its collision or will you stand for your right to occupy any space in the sidewalk? You do what is best for your family and move away.
The use of the flag as a symbol for resistance is propaganda by the Ayatollah. They could have saved and integrated their people, but they are fighting a war for land and resources, the same as the Israeli government. That is why this conflict is complex, and I will not side with anything other than the people.
I cannot agree with this analogy. But it does not matter: A part of the Palestinian people’s right of self determination is to choose wether they want to continue fighting. To simply reduce them to pawns under the leadership of some Ayatollah, is taking away their right of self-determination.
Could the Palestine resistance really have “saved and integrated” their people if they surrendered to the Israeli state? I very much doubt that they could. But I’ll leave it at that. I’m sad to see that a disagreement on this issue makes you give up the important work of being a moderator here. Thank you for your service.
