Just to add that there are more likely to be potential issues for antiX-sid runit users down the line as we transition to using ProwlerGR’s runit-service scripts (using runit syntax) over my runit-core scripts that are sysVinit type scripts.
The result will be an even purer runit set-up to what we have presently.I am looking forward to ProwlerGR runit scripts in antiX 25. From what I understand they represent not only a purer way of runit but also more in line with Debian. Please anyone correct me if I am wrong…
Debian is not interested in alternative inits to systemd, despite their claims otherwise.
Debian runit is totally dependent on sysVinit.
antiX and ProwlerGR implementation of runit are not.
