Thanks for the affirmation, @Robin. Personally I agree with you. People are free to have their own opinions, but I decided to put it back; if @anticapitalista wishes to do otherwise, that’s his choice.
While we’re expressing our opinions, I personally feel it is unkind at the very least to write inflammatory headers and posts to a distribution forum that seeks to provide something functional and efficient that DOES NOT attempt to be anything like the mainstream systems, instead catering to lean efficiency. Also, while I will NOT personally legislate this, if anyone is to be asked to do something else or go elsewhere, it would be those who attempt to cause dissension and arise emotions to the point that vile statements are made toward other participants. Should that behavior raise it’s head, I’m quite certain that there will be consequences in that regard because such behavior is a direct violation of forum policies.
In the meantime, I’m allowing people the privilege of sharing their opinions; should it rise to personal attacks, that’s an entirely different matter, one that will not be tolerated.
So here’s the word on this discussion: people can desire alternative appearances. We have numerous people who have shared their own artwork and those of others. Feel free to copy and use a different wallpaper or whatever you wish. It’s unreasonable to demand that antiX include this or that; it’s fine to share a contribution; if it’s popular enough it could get included; in any case, individuals can do whatever they want with it. As for me, I’ll never TELL our leadership what to do. When asked, I’ll offer ideas and suggestions; it’s up to the distributors of any distribution what is chosen to be included in any software kit, whether antiX or any other distribution.
