As promised (LOL), new init setup debs already in trixie main repo (used on beta1 but not any of the alphas) in sid/dev and testing/dev will be moved sometime this weekend if dave has time.
How smooth will it be? No idea.
Since we only had runit and sysVinit releases, other inits are likely to break.
runit users will need to make sure that they have the basic service files to boot to X and to desktop.
