From everything I have read so far, upgrading to antiX 25 is not going to be an easy undertaking. Unless @anticapitalista or someone else comes up with a formula and a set of instructions, (remove these packages, change the repository, update these packages first, etc.), I don’t think it’s a good idea to upgrade. If you do try a test version, back up your information, then install what you want. Personally I keep several USB Flash Drives so I can go back and forth to various versions running live or I can install them. Right now I have antiX 23.2 Full Runit and antiX 25 Beta 2 installed on my Thinkpad T14 and I have s6-66 finally working, so that’s what I’m using at the moment. Three of the four init variations are working for me. I’ve had no success getting the installed s6-rc working; I’ve manually started Connman on the live instance, but it’s not properly configured to run in the usual ways.
On the antiX 25 image runit works the best; it doesn’t need any help getting services running; they start normally. Dinit is almost working cleanly, though I’ve had to manually restart or toggle between Ceni and Connman to get it working properly.

All the new stuff has been moved to sid or testing main so you might start to see some updates.

Installing service runit-service-acpid over the current one fails to replace

is this the correct ?
Since I don’t recall having elogind etc on antiX 23.2

acpid – you can force install it
dpkg -i --force-overwrite /var/cache/apt/archives/runit-service-acpid_0.1.0_all.debor don’t install (purge) runit-service-acpid
lightdm should not install elogind.
