Let’s continue this discussion about Helium browser. I think in the near future, we need an alternative for the default browser for antiX, since Firefox (and ESR) dropped 32-bit support and has some security concerns.
Unfortunately Helium is not the answer for 32-bit support. Like the Chromium project, there is only 64-bit support.
I’m afraid that when the last browsers available with 32-bit support are gone, that’s the end of 32-bit browser support. If we want to maintain it, I think we’re going to have to find a way to build or retrofit support ourselves; other than that, the old browsers, which don’t have all the modern features, are all that’s left.
