Heck I get thrown off of forums (like MX) for linking to home-grown 1000 line tutorials– all which are free, opensource, untracked. It just proves I am out of touch with reality. It’s hard being old. Silly me, I thought relevance meant something other than arch-based youtubes.
Hi, yes, I agree with you. Forums are pointlessly banning or prejudiced against users, even if the content is useful and high-quality. It’s also upsetting that people comment without watching and lack empathy. Try making a video like that; is it that easy? Hours of effort go into it. For that one-hour video, we shoot and edit for 3-4 hours, correcting mistakes, removing bad parts, adding things that need to be added, etc. If you ever do that, you’ll understand me and others like me, and hopefully, you’ll comment accordingly. Actually, you’re not out of touch with reality; the general human mindset doesn’t think like you or me, they think differently, and now they consume low-quality, meaningless content. For example, I’ll give a striking example from my country, Turkey, and you’ll understand. A very overweight YouTuber got millions of views and became a phenomenon just by shaking his belly in a video. Can you imagine? It’s illogical, but that’s how the world is now. Young people are consumers and consume absurd things, making people who wouldn’t otherwise be famous into phenomena. You’re definitely not stupid; I think the opposite. But on the Linux side, the most up-to-date content is definitely Cachyaos and Arch-based, as you know. Thank you too, I wish you good work and a good day, goodbye.
