Greetings everyone, I’ve been preparing a comprehensive guide series on CachyOS for a while now. I’ve received many questions, especially regarding how to speed up the system after installation, so in Part 2 I’ve detailed the basic settings and performance tips. It may come as a surprise, but some antiX users are systemd agnostic. It was not the reason I started using antiX, and it is not the reason I have kept using it. The reason I started using antiX was that it was the first distro to give proper new life to my old laptops and PCs, and that it was and is well maintained, with excellent support here. The lack of systemd might contribute to antiX efficiency, but there’s nothing ideological about it for me.
That said, I do find it somewhat odd doing promo videos for another OS on this forum.

First of all, greetings. As someone who loves and uses antiX Linux, I have a very positive video about antiX on my YouTube channel. Secondly, in my CachyOS Part 1 video, I say that antiX Linux is the fastest operating system in the world and that you can use this distribution. And CachyOS is currently ranked #1 in the world, my friend, and it’s really very good; you’ll understand if you watch the video. The video is narrated in Turkish, but you can watch it with English subtitles. I understand your reaction, but believe me, it’s unwarranted. If you want, try it and see. I don’t just talk; I prove it in my videos and use it for a long time. For example, I used antiX for 2 years and really liked it, especially in terms of speed. Please don’t be prejudiced; I’m a good and helpful person, my friend. Have a good day and good work. Goodbye.

Hello antiX users, why are you so unbiased and indecisive about systemd? Why are you so negative and angry about systemd? Is your reason for using antiX because it runs fast and has good support on older PCs? And what is your reason for continuing to use it? CachyOS is also efficient. Why is it strange to you that there are videos about other Linux distributions in this forum? There’s even a section for other distributions in the forum, and I opened this topic under this thread. I don’t understand why you’re so rigid and negative. I didn’t criticize antiX; on the contrary, I love it and used it for two years and was very satisfied. Heck I get thrown off of forums (like MX) for linking to home-grown 1000 line tutorials– all which are free, opensource, untracked. It just proves I am out of touch with reality. It’s hard being old. Silly me, I thought relevance meant something other than arch-based youtubes.

Hello, it’s clear you haven’t watched my video. There’s no tutorial for quick installation in Cachy in the video, so it’s not normal for you to find it funny; it’s absurd. It also doesn’t happen after installation; it goes against the normal flow of life and the flow of the video. Hi, yes, I agree with you. Forums are pointlessly banning or prejudiced against users, even if the content is useful and high-quality. It’s also upsetting that people comment without watching and lack empathy. Try making a video like that; is it that easy? Hours of effort go into it. For that one-hour video, we shoot and edit for 3-4 hours, correcting mistakes, removing bad parts, adding things that need to be added, etc. If you ever do that, you’ll understand me and others like me, and hopefully, you’ll comment accordingly. Actually, you’re not out of touch with reality; the general human mindset doesn’t think like you or me, they think differently, and now they consume low-quality, meaningless content. For example, I’ll give a striking example from my country, Turkey, and you’ll understand. A very overweight YouTuber got millions of views and became a phenomenon just by shaking his belly in a video. Can you imagine? It’s illogical, but that’s how the world is now. Young people are consumers and consume absurd things, making people who wouldn’t otherwise be famous into phenomena. You’re definitely not stupid; I think the opposite. But on the Linux side, the most up-to-date content is definitely Cachyaos and Arch-based, as you know. Thank you too, I wish you good work and a good day, goodbye.

Hi, please don’t misunderstand me, but I’ve been using Cachyos for 4 months and haven’t received any errors, it hasn’t crashed, it hasn’t slowed down, etc. If, as you say, there are 2.2 million lines of terrible code and more than 2000 vulnerabilities, I should have received a lot of errors, it should even have crashed. Zero errors. I’ve seen its benefits, not its drawbacks, and I haven’t seen or heard of any problems with it in anyone else’s system. If that were the case, major technology channels and forums would definitely publish and write about it. I also respect your decision not to use it as long as there is system support. I completely agree about Antix; I used it for 2 years and was very satisfied, especially in terms of speed. It’s number one in terms of speed and using system resources sparingly, but overall, Cachyos is the leader. This isn’t just my opinion, it’s the same worldwide.
