I made certain that my alias commands for reboot and poweroff run the scripts in the /lib/init-diversity directory and everything is now working as it’s supposed to work and I’m enjoying all of them once again!
I don’t know what scripts those are, but have you experienced this problem too?

I wrote a note in that thread; used properly they ALL work as expected. I’m going to switch to another computer to see if I can replicate any of those issues; on my main system I can run shutdown.sh, poweroff.sh or reboot.sh from
the /lib/init-diversity directory, running them as a privileged user (su or sudo).
