Something is wrong with the setup. I believe that you will eventually find out what the problem is.
The reason I say that is not long ago runit was working fine and dinit was not. A change was made, then dinit works instead of runit.
In my setup they all work. Occasionally 66 doesn’t start the network properly; in that case I start Runit or dinit then reboot shortly afterward and that typically gets it.
I’m not super tuned in on all of the command services for 66 so my hack workaround usually works faster than starting or restarting services.

Using an upgraded kernel it works fine too.The variable I see here is that you’re using LightDM; I’m using our stock default login manager as opposed to one of the added alternatives. I suspect that’s the cause of the problems with runit on one setup and dinit on some others, but I don’t have proof, except for the fact that they all work on multiple types of hardware for me. I’ve used two different generations of Lenovo Thinkpads (got rid of the the X201 recently), two different lines of HP laptops (HP-14 Ryzen 5 and HP X360) and a Dell Inspiron 5558. All of them work fine. So while that’s not guaranteed evidence, it’s five different systems that have worked for me.

As far as the Liquorix kernel, I’ve only started using it over the past couple of weeks; Throughout development I used our V6.6 kernel on the newer hardware and tested both V5 and V6 antiX kernels on the Dell, which has been capable of running V4, V5, and V6 kernels over the years. So for me the kernel is NOT a determining variable; I only started using it weeks after the completion of the release. Yes, I’ve used Liquorix kernels a lot, but I did not use them at all on antiX 25/26 testing efforts. I checked here when I went back to Liquorix kernels; it appears to be near the beginning of May, nearly two months after antiX 26 was released.
That’s one reason why I do so many of these information reports. If I run into an issue on a particular system, I have hundreds of reports that I can review to analyze what my configurations were. By far I run the most reports on my most current system but I do have plenty of reports from other systems; now you know one of the reasons I do this; it gives me diagnostic and historical information on what I was using and working on during a specific day or week of the year.

Here’s my “fixed up” s6; I have s6-rc and s6-66 working perfectly now. Runit and dinit are still my favorites but I’ve got all five init alternatives for antiX 26 Full operating correctly and reasonably efficiently.
I added sudo /sbin/connmand restart to /etc/66/rc.local to get Connman starting automatically with 66. I’m going to switch to another computer to see if I can replicate any of those issues; on my main system I can run shutdown.sh, poweroff.sh or reboot.sh from
the /lib/init-diversity directory, running them as a privileged user (su or sudo).--
