I haven’t been on antiX long myself, but even I have seen this “stuck @ 93%” complaint over and over. Lucky Robin has as much patience as knowledge to help you. Yes, antiX is a little more demanding of its users than Linux Mint etc. But the (unpaid) developers here have done such a great job of giving us a modern linux that can be run on old legacy pcs. I have a 2002 Gateway with a Pentium 4, 32 bit, 2 GB of Ram and it worked perfectly out of the gate. Yes, I got stuck at 93% too the first time, but I guess I’m what you would call a genius, because I found the answer here without bothering anyone. Don’t feel bad that you got some raised eyebrows or pursed lips here either. I’ve been slapped down for spelling antiX wrong! 😉
antiX 26 Stephen Kapos 5.10.240-antiX.1-486-smp on a Pentium IV @ 2 Ghz and 2 GB of RAM. 2002 Gateway desktop. 140 GB hdd has "/" and 100 GB partition on 2nd drive has "/Home" using IceWM de. Dual booting with Ubuntu 10.04 LTS on another partition.
