antiX-26 core questions

So far, I seem to have found setting up antiX26-core + LXDE (64bit) not quite as straightforward as previously with the antiX19-core + LXDE version (unless of course my memory is just being selective!).

With v.26, the GBus error notification on the DE at login was solved by installing consolekit. Wired connectivity is working, though Wireless connectivity isn’t. I installed connman but it’s not working, not even appearing on the gui under menu –> internet’; ceni, which comes prepackaged, is shown on the gui, but is not working either. I had some problems getting the LXDM logout gui to allow me to logout properly – this finally appears to have been resolved by installing lxlauncher.

I think if I can resolve the wifi issue then things would be perfect. Wired connectivity is not practical as, in our building, I’m on a different floor to the router.
Anticapitalista – it would be great if wifi-connectivity could be prepackaged with any future upgrades of antiX26-core 🙂

PS. What init system are any of you using, with antiX26-core?

wifi works fine for me with antiX-26-core, but my router is right next to the laptop.

Wifi is working fine for me on antiX-26 core as well. Using ceni, as always (on core).
I haven’t noticed anything different in this regard (ceni/wifi connectability).

(Posting this from core on 32-bit laptop right now.)

Just a thought: Whenever I end up with something not working as it should (and no one else has come across the error), I generally assume I got a corrupted download. If you download a fresh antiX-26-core ISO, perhaps ceni would work as expected?

@Xaver – re: “Wifi and Bluetooth are pulsed at 10 Hz”
I wonder if setting the “beacon_int” (beacon interval) which defaults to 100 (10 per second) to 1000 (1 per second) would affect this. I run antiX on my router and have this set in /etc/hostapd/hostapd.conf and it’s worked well for years without any ill side-effects. Some commercial routers I believe also support this.
