You will get sensible results and sensible answers from AV Linux over at MX,
he moved from antiX because some software has hard depends on systemd and was
at least at that point in time too hard to tame.I was sad to see him go, that will not be the case for distracter/destruktor.

It’s a little offensive that they compressed the photos. Because the photos were intended for educational purposes, to teach young people how to build a quality audio system, typically for medical-grade audio. Without toxic plastic and without the SSD magnetic field, which is dangerous to health and disrupts streaming. But it’s so blurry, everyone remains ignorant.
Trying to be CONSTRUCTIVE here: did you know that if you just click on the images that you shared, instead of viewing the smaller images, clicking on them will reveal the full sized images that were shared?
I hope that helps someone out. We have a page where we sometimes share our wallpaper images or whatever else we’re interested in. These images, as displayed, are compressed down, but if you simply click on them, you can see the full images, and that’s how we share our images around here.
Speaking of offensive, I think at times we ought to convert the words we speak into recorded messages, then play them back. Maybe at least some of us would be kinder and more thoughtful with the words that we share. That is another suggestion for everyone, including myself, to be very careful about. We have a huge amount of useful information on this forum; handled properly, including here, it’s valuable. But when our words express disgust, anger, rage, and other unhappy emotions, far too often it clouds and obstructs what might actually be worthwhile, so as we are now in a new year with new opportunities, and a new software release soon to be released, let’s make this the best place for the best software and the best dialogue about the software or whatever the specific topic happens to be.
That would make this a VERY Happy New Year for me and numerous other people. How about it everyone?

@Robin – For the first bit, don’t know your mic, but Motu M-series decent for us weekend warriors although no-doubt not meeting Pro expectations. Other stuff: I honestly still keep a separate 50MB 486DX4 laptop that I hatched with 2.something RT kernel, Alsa and Jack maybe almost 15 years ago for simple (sanity check) outboard stuff with condenser mic / phantom power pre, etc. Laptop I’m on has pulse crossover rack. Keep 3rd eepc for quick calibrated level check w/ USB mic measurements running W7. While not doing production, feel (some of) your pain and have no unified answers.
