I came here, because I’m having trouble with the live disc. And there’s some files, on an old computer, I’d like to recover.

Welcome aboard.
antiX is a wonderful distro for resurrecting old computers. I’ve salvaged several old XP generation systems. But it does take some determination and some trial and error. It’s not the easiest distro to cut your teeth on but if you stay with it you will be successful. antiX has almost turned me into a linux guru! (Just kidding – still only an middle/advanced “user”)
